You don't know how happy I really am to see how aolis has really progressed and its contribution to the operations of the university. I feel like crying reading at the report remembering all the hardships and difficulties we have been through in order for aolis to be ranked in where it is right now. I also feel so proud about you guys for all the efforts and sacrifice you have given for aolis. I guess I was right when I said that the success of aolis will mark the seat of our beloved computer science department and put it in its right place. I remembered when the department seemed to be floating from one college to another and not having a unique identity of its own. Finally the foundation for the cs dept. has been established and its mission for the university and other sda institutions has been well defined so we know exactly the purpose why we need to graduate computer science students. I am proud of all of you there and your achievements. I will continue to pray for your success and hope to assist you financially ASAP for future projects. I still have many wild dreams for aolis and as long as there is an advance in technology, then aolis will always be there to implement. Keep up the good work and God bless you all.
Note: Sir Todd N. Olarte, who now resides in the US, was the one who started the Computer Science Program in PUC/AUP. The computer science people were the ones who made AOLIS. The team was composed of Sir Todd, Sir Ton Pamintuan, Sir Ben John Francisco, Sir Dennis Rondael, Sir Giovanni Ibale, and me, Winelfred Pasamba. Giovanni withrew from the project to pursue other things in the musical (great in sax) and wireless (one of the first cellphone entreprenuers in aup) areas.
Sir Ton's involvement in aolis was minimal after its development. He later went to the US with his family.
On 2002 Sir Todd left with his family for the US leaving Dennis Rondael to take care of the Compuer Science Department, and me in AOLIS; praying, as Elisha did, on Elijah's departure, for added wisdom in doing the assigned work.
About this time Ben John was already a regular worker in SEARCA (www.searca.org) in UPLB Campus and has his own web development business (www.bgfweb.com).
By 2005, the Computer Science Department was still alive and led by Windell Shem G. Pasamba, the brother of Winelfred. Newly added teachers were Glenson Carlo Galupo, and Kathy Joy Inkinen, both new graduates of our own BSCS Program. It is worthy to note that Glenson, Kathy, Shem, and Dennis are all Magna Cum Laude BSCS AUP Graduates. Also Ben John was awarded Cum Laude after finishing BSMath and BSCS in 4 years (of playing starcraft...).
